Domains $2.99 at Yahoo

Just a quick heads up post, domain names are on sale at Yahoo! for $2.99. I have all my domains registered there and they do a fine job. They don’t have a transfer service so new registrations only. The other great thing is that it’s not one of these first year is $2.99 and every other year is $9.99, nope it’s $2.99 for every year up to 5. So you can take advantage of the SEO benefits of having a long term domain registration. It says one per customer, but I’ve been able to register more than one on previous sales. Note: I don’t know how long the sale lasts so don’t wait too long

Do you have to host it at the same place that you buy the domain name? If not, is it a pain to transfer the domain?
No, you don’t have to host it at the same place you buy it and also no it isn’t a hassle to transfer [actually you point it] a the place you are hosting. Any web host should have good instructions on how to do it.
