Art of Money | My New Home
February 25, 2006 by SMD
Hi Everyone,
I’ve begun to write stories on my brand new Wordpress driven site. It’s called Art of Money and I have to say I’ve very please to have made the move. Thinks are still a little bit rough as I’m a complete newb when it comes to Wordpress, but I have to say it is a very powerful application.
My new feed can be found at this address: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ArtOfMoney
I hope you’ll update your RSS readers.
Here’s a couple of the stories that I’ve added to entice you over:
You Don’t Really Want to Be Rich…believe me it’s for your own good that you’re not.
Are You Brain Dead Enough Yet?…did you know that life in a cube farm could actually be destroying braincells?
Is Your Site Literature or a Billboard?…some thoughts on web usability and the difference between how we think people read our sites and how they actually do read them…well read may be too strong a word.
In total I’ve added 7 posts and 4 “asides” [quick posts], so you’re way behind in your reading
As always, any comment or feedback is greatly appreciated.
Jon

Why did you switch to a summary feed on your new blog? Too many readers? Unless you switch back to full feed, I have a feeling there won’t be that many left. One of the first things we learn is that TIME is money.
Even if I read the new blog in a browser, I have the same problem: the first page only includes the first x characters of every post. I simply can’t understand why would a savvy blogger cripple his site like this. (???) Good luck in your future endeavors!
Thanks for the tips AC. While I think “cripple his site” is a bit of an overstatement, I’m just getting set up afterall, I will probably put full stories on the home page. The full vs. partial RSS feeds is a big debate. Personally I have never minded clicking through to a site if I like the story in Bloglines, but I’ll think about it somemore. This site has a lot of RSS readers but doesn’t be that much traffic to the site, so I was hoping more people would visit the site with the partial feeds. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Jon
