ProBlogger Throws a Vacation
Everyone’s favorite blogging guru, Darren Rowse [ a.k.a. ProBlogger ] is taking a vacation. Now taking a vacation when you, and only you, run a network of blogs, that rely on a constant stream of new material, is not an easy thing to do.
I would imagine just the decision to leave all the ‘babies’ behind for a month, brought up a few fears. Darren has stated publicly that he is well into 6 figures annually in blogging income, so we are talking about a fairly large potential risk to his income.
How has he mitigated the risk? By inviting a herd of guest bloggers to man the store while he is away [in Turkey I believe]. 24 top notch guest bloggers have signed up for ProBlogger along. These guys and gals are the stars of the pro blogging league [included is Jon Gales of mobiletracker.net who's blog was featured in a Fortune magazine story that opened many people's eyes, including mine, about these types of businesses].
Okay so I didn’t make the A-team, but I’m very pleased to find myself [with 4 others] guest blogging on Darren’s personal finance blog. I will be posting different stories than on Smart Money Daily, so I hope you’ll drop over and check it out. There is quite a variety of viewpoints among the five of us, so the story mix should be interesting.
Have a great trip Darren and thanks again for all your tips and examples.
